What is the Function Libraries pane? The Function Libraries pane stores all associated function libraries for your application area.
When you should use <this UI element>? Use this pane to associate VBScript function library files (of types .qfl, .vbs, or .txt) with your application area. You can also create new function library files directly from this pane.
Note: By default, UFT includes a number of function libraries containing predefined functions. Keep these function libraries associated with the component if you are testing an application using Web, Standard Windows, ActiveX, or Visual Basic technologies.
Make sure that all function libraries have been added to the relevant location in the ALM Test Resources module.
In the Function Library pane toolbar, click the Add button . A new row is added to the list of associated function libraries.
At the right edge of the row, click the Browse button.
In the Open dialog box, navigate to the relevant location in the ALM Test Resources module and click Open.
If you have not previously created your function libraries, you can still create and associate them directly from this pane:
In the Function Library pane toolbar, click the New button .
In the Save Function Library dialog box, select the directory in the ALM Test Resources module where you want to save your function library and click Save.
A new function library tab opens in the document pane, and your function library is saved to the specified location and associated with the current application area.
Add custom functions to your function library as needed.
Yes. The order of the associated function libraries determines the order UFT will search each of the associated function libraries for a function with the name used in the test.
